But picking a neutral white shade for your home only sounds like a simple task. With so many options to choose from, it’s important to understand the subtle differences each shade can offer. We’re here to highlight some of our favorites and help you make the right choice for your space or project.
Pure White- SW 7005 One of the best features of this color is that it does not have any prominent undertones which makes it a pretty safe choice in most spaces. Pure White is not as creamy as many other warm whites and is really true to its name making it an ideal candidate for your interior walls, cabinets, and maybe it’s most commonly used application-trim.
Alabaster-SW 7008 This neutral off-white is an ideal backdrop for almost any design style. The neutral base gives it depth and warmth. Alabaster is white without the starkness or coolness of many whites. And Joanna Gaines has in her kitchen so you know it’s good!
Snowbound-SW 7004 is a crisp but muted white that will brighten up any space. This beauty is commonly used on trim, but can also be beautiful on walls and ceilings, especially where there is not an abundance of natural light. Perhaps its best feature is its blend of warm and cool undertones making it the perfect companion to almost any color scheme.
Shoji White-SW 7042 Shoji White is the chameleon of whites as it will change colors throughout the day. It is often referred to as super light greige because this shade of white does not reflect as much light as your pure whites. If you’re looking for a homey, warm and cozy vibe-Shoji White is your man. It’s also a great choice for exteriors with natural wood features.
Swiss Coffee– one of Benjamin Moore’s 75 most popular paint colors. Often touted as a warm, neutral backdrop, Swiss Coffee is soft and sophisticated with a milky finish. A Studio McGee favorite for cabinets but works almost anywhere in the home. Another cozy favorite!
Blank Canvas– This Behr 2023 color of the year is soaring in popularity. It leans towards off-white territory but is still bright enough to remain a mid-tone white. In certain lights, you may notice a peach undertone which lends a bit of warmth and plays on the current trend of modern terracotta. This color is creamy and beautiful in almost any application. We suggest painting walls and trim this same shade in corresponding sheens.
